The Ten Gods 十神
What produces the Day Master at opposite polarity — named for the seal of office and the shade a parent casts, and read as support that arrives without being earned.

生我者,有父母之义,故立名印绶。印,荫也。绶,受也。譬父母有恩德荫庇子孙,子孙得受其福。
What produces me carries the sense of father and mother, so it was named the Seal-and-Ribbon. The Seal is shade; the Ribbon is receiving. It is as when parents have kindness and virtue that shelters the descendants, and the descendants get to receive that good fortune.
印绶者,乃五行生我之名。如甲乙在亥子月,丙丁在寅卯月之类,乃我气之源,为生气,为父母,能护我官星,使无伤克。
The Seal-and-Ribbon is the name for what, among the five phases, produces me — as with Jia and Yi in the months of Hai and Zi, or Bing and Ding in the months of Yin and Mao. It is the wellspring of my qi, the living qi, the parent; and it can guard my Officer star so that it takes no injury.
印 and 绶 are the seal and the silk cord it hangs from — the physical tokens of appointed office. The naming chapter builds the whole gloss on a pun that survives translation badly: 印 also means shade, the shadow a tree or a parent casts. Both senses are load-bearing. Resource is credential and shelter.
官而无印,何所凭据 — an office without a seal, on what authority? That is why the texts keep saying 印赖官生 and 有官无印,即非真官: Officer and Resource are read as a pair, each incomplete without the other. Resource is also what converts pressure into support, which is the mechanism behind 煞印相生.
The named vulnerability is money. 印怕财,贪财则坏 — Resource fears Wealth; coveting wealth ruins it. Wealth controls Resource in the ordinary cycle, and the classical reading of that is not moral but structural: what you can be paid to say stops functioning as a credential.
This is a lookup, not a judgement — it falls straight out of the element relation and the yin/yang match, and the table below is generated by the same function the chart calculator uses. Where the Day Master has its own essay, the name links to it.
